Here's a bunch of photos of how my project's been going, the last few weeks:
(please excuse the miscellaneous promo materials in the background, I needed something to cut, solder and glue on that wasn't my table)
Model two:
This one ended up with zero movement range, which is a bit sad!
Model three:
This one also had a very limited range of movement, and the 'petals' would rotate randomly. Annoying!
Model four:
And this one works!
... Mostly.
Now I just have to hook it up to my servo:
hook the servo up to my sensor (not pictured), and find something it'll fit in, that will hold it all together.
I might actually get it all done, heh. See you tomorrow!
