So, last week saw my original visualisation fail to work, meaning I need to start over again:

It also saw my sensor fail to work... meaning I need to start over again!

I thought I'd posted that video last week, but obviously I didn't.

Anyway!

New visualisation is going to be much simpler. Small levers! I can work with that.

Building a smoke detector from the ground up is interesting, but I think I can do it. I've got the theory down, anyway... practicalities are, as always, the hardest part in something like this.

Anyway, again! Good luck to everyone in the class, I hope all your projects are going better than mine!
heh.

yes well I'd just like to add my support Dan in saying that I'm also finding that implementation is definitely very frustrating-if you make a wrong design decision it can set you back some hours before realising it doesn't work-it's part of the process which I guess is the all important factor in the learning - thanks for your good wishes

Hey Dan,

What you described to me (in theory) sounded quite feasible. Implementing it is always the hardest part, but I'm quite sure you'll be able to pull it off. Best of luck!

Hi Dan,
Remember, "we're all in this, together...".
At the end of the day, we are finding out new and wonderful things about the universe...
